So just share any of these odd things here that keep happening to us all t time… like looking for your mobile until you give up and then finding it in the fridge… and so on…

This was how I started to think I might have ADD… when I first read this thread in a German ADHD forum, I thought well, what’s so funny about that?

Of couse these things do happen and it’s annoying… where’s the fun?!

Until… I realised… yes, this doesn’t happen to everyone so often… but if these things happen to me quite often, this might not just be normal but a hint that I, too, have ADD…

Exactly and nowadays, after my diagnosis, I’ve another look about my skills, so that I understand, not everyone is doing things, like I do :see_no_evil: and very often in much more less time :alarm_clock:

…if a staple of paper colabs and suddenly there’s the prescription, you searching for a few days ago :see_no_evil: you don’t find, what you need now, but ok, be grateful for what you get

The morning door frame out of bedroom was a challenge. But it turned out to be SCT, not so much ADHD for me. Comorbid, but SCT caused extreme difficulty waking up.

Not unique to ADHD, also common with autism the best I know. Touch sensitivity.

Tube sox and tags on t-shirts were my mortal enemies growing up. Could never get the damn socks in my shoes without adjusting for 5 to 10 minutes to stop annoying me. And those damn shirt tags. Got in the habit of preemptively cutting them off.

Then one day, they started printing tags on the inside of shirts!! Wonder if the person who came up with that had ADHD. And don’t own tube sox. Still not perfect, but socks that are shaped for your foot and leg are best option. And yes, there are left and right socks depending on which foot you wore them on and stretched out one side or the other with your big toe. Always have to look at my socks to determine which is stretched most likely the left or right side. And take them off and remove any rolled loose fabric I notice when I put them on. If a big toe stretched side ends up on the wrong side, I will notice it and have to fix it, maybe even trade in for correctly stretched sock in drawer.

Ex-girlfriend had socks that had individual slots for each toe. OMG, can’t even look a them when she puts them on. Best friend doesn’t even look, just puts tube socks on, even if seam goes top of foot to bottom, across middle of toes. I’d rather listen to nails on a chalk board than watch himt do that.
